KINIGI ECO CENTER, AT THE GORILLA MOUNTAINS, MALAWI
“Rwanda is a beautiful place, the people are so nice, and people from all over the world come to visit the Gorrilas. My dream is to develop this land into a vivid tourism venture that is great for families and children, and also for the local community – for local artisans, single mothers, young, fun tour guides – and also a community centre, learning and creative hot spot for youth leadership where inspired youth across the country can gather. And I want to make it a crowdfunded venture, free for supporters, and welcoming international volunteers. Do you like to be part in making this happen?”
Terri is y/our merry bridge into the real heart of Africa beyond poverty, conflict and colonial stereotypes that do not at all represent this enormous continent making up almost a quarter of the world’s land surface with 45 countries, many of them lush, green, with abundant life.
Terri has 100 stories to tell about the people, the unique ways of living from breaky to community service, a majority of women in parliament – as well as the everyday issue of poverty, street children, and what we can do about that – with her exciting crowdfunded community tourism + arts + recycling + permaculture + youth leadership … centre.
The True Heart of Africa. It’s almost true geographically, but we don’t refer to the tangible, but to the Spirit of Africa! And that’s not embodied in poverty, killings, famine and mining, but is very well alive in Rwanda. Terri and Farakhan have amazing stories to share, you’ll have so much fun – including the BEST dance videos.
Rwanda survived a genocide not long ago, and today, the people rock. We’ll tell you of a lot of cool particularities and initiatives that’ll make you say ‘we should have that here’, and maybe you’ll be the ones to start it! We want to START something unique in Rwanda with the Kinigi Eco Centre, to serve tourists, local people and the young generation. We need your help to crowdfund your favorite parts of this venture, and play a role in activating the young generation to follow their hero*ine peers’ example.
The adventure begins with discovering what Africa/ns truly are like. Meet Terri and Farakhan online, make friends, and get involved in creating this fireworks story together. It’ll be fun!
