LUWAYO BISWICK

PERMACULTURE PARADISE INSTITUTE, MALAWI

“You don’t need money to grow food.”

Luwayo and Grace will totally change your idea of Africa and the idea of a “lack of food” anywhere on this planet, or anywhere around your town. As a child, Luwayo often went to bed with an empty stomach. So he knows what smart solutions for food abundance mean. After taking a permaculture design course, he returned to his village and surprised people with rich yields – using new hands-on methods that traditional agriculture never heard of – to a point that people thought he was a witch doctor and wanted to drive him from the village.

Today, his Permaculture Paradise Institute feeds, employs, trains and inspires 1,000s – including free training for orphaned street kids – and seeds resources and knowledge to farmers across the region, and consults partners in several countries.

You may not have paid attention to permaculture in affluent countries, but seeing “a dry piece of land good for nothing” – cheap to buy – turn into a lush forest farm Paradise in a couple of years(!), restoring food abundance, peace, creativity and collaboration should forever change your ideas on development + sustainability + prosperity + agriculture + people-powered + climate crisis + your region’s future + your generation’s future. And the future of the lands near your school. What will you do with that? Luwayo is here to inspire you, among many coaches that are able to help.
